For Kim, creating portraits is about creating someone anew, bringing out their best and sending them back into the world refreshed.
"Seeing yourself look good in a picture is worth more than a thousand words," she says. "It gives people a new outlook on themselves and confidence in their appearance."

As the daughter of a photographer, Kim is very familiar with both sides of the camera, an experience that makes it easy for her to relate to reluctant subjects.
"The goal I set with each of my portrait sessions is to create a photograph in which my subject recognizes not just his or her best features, but a little spark of personality too," she says. |

Education:
Kim is a graduate of Brown University and Brooks Institute of Photography. She has also studied photography at the Rhode Island School of Design and SPEOS in Paris, France. |
