Lorne has been making people feel and look comfortable in front the "dreaded" camera for over 20 years.
An accomplished "casual" portrait and wedding photographer, Lorne is able to gain your trust and make you look great, pretty much anywhere.
He understands that making a great portrait is more about chemistry and attitude than technique and gear.
The legendary Life magazine photographer Alfred Eisenstaedt said it best... "The most important thing... is not clicking the shutter... it is clicking with the subject."
Great light is a part of it too, and Lorne is able to find it and use it most anywhere.
Lorne prefers location work and the variety of "looks" he can create over a studio session.
"You'd be surprised how much the scenery around you changes by just turning a few degrees left or right," says Lorne.
Often his subjects say to him "I don't take a very good picture." He smiles and calmly replies "That's OK, lucky for you, I do."

Lorne has been known to tell a bad joke or two (or three!) to relax his subjects and gain their trust. His big easy smile and dimples help, too.
Lorne is equally at ease with young and old, male or female and shy or confident. He absolutely believes that he can make a flattering image of anyone who wants one. |

Education:
Lorne is a graduate of the Western Academy of Photography, located in Victoria, B.C. Although he received several awards for his photojournalism work, he also excelled at environmental portraiture and weddings. |
